I just found out yesterday I have until Friday to put together a blanket/quilt for a infant grand-nephew. He, his brother and their parents are going to be up from CA on Friday. As always I have been putting this off for a while since I found out she was pregnant. Now I guess since he is here and is going to be visiting I should get one done also before he is to old to use it.
Here is a picture of what i've decided to do. I'm going to sew around each of the center frames and the colored square around, then use a narrow blanket/quilt binding to bind it.

That is really adorable. I procrastinate too. After I had made my mom and a few others quilts for Christmas my brother hinted that he wanted one. His birthday is in April. I waited until the last week and was still sewing the day of his birthday. I was thankfully done in time for the party. I'm sure you'll be done too.

I never say I am a procrastinator....I prefer to say that I work better under pressure :lol:

I know it isn't the same as if I were peicing a quilt together, but I know this is going to take me every minute I can squeeze out between now and then. I also know my limitations. I haven't even finished a baby quilt i've been working on for monthts. I am still trying to finish putting the binding on. I work better under pressure to, it is just who I am. Hmm, wonder why that doesn't work for job interviews? Those I just fall apart.

WalMart. But you don't want it not for a quilt. I am so miffed at it. For whatever reason it keeps bunching and shifting on me and I must have at this point have a hundred pins in it. I even took it apart, spray glued it and re-pinned it. The glue is helping but i'm going to lose my mind by time i'm done Patience is not my strong suit.

I'm just a little upset with my nephew and his girlfriend, they never showed up. According to his mom they were heading back to CA. Sunday afternoon. So unless they stop by on the way out of town, I don't think we will see them. Good thing I didn't kill myself getting this finished, still have to do the binding. Grandson was here since Thursday night and he requires nanna's attention. Oh well will have to finish it up and put it in the mail.
