I'm so excited, my 6 year old is learning how to sew! She made her 1st quilt block and is super excited to make her 1st quilt like mommy! I hope she has the patience to finish it. I told her we could do 1 block per day (we are using 4 of the 5" charm squares to make a block) and then we will one day have a quilt. She said, "tomorrow I want to make at least 2!" She's a born quilter... Yay!

well she did a great job!! all her center seams match up!! Oh have you thought that now you have to share your stash *L* she will be so good by the time she's a teen. Tell her Good job!!

Iam so jealous.. I have a 12 yr who doesnthave the least bit of interest in sewing. I keep hoping someday she will just ask me to make something..anything!!! Iam happy for you.

Good Job -- I too am helping my neice 6yrs old learn to sew. We made a pillowcase and we just finished it and she said now we can make a quilt to match ! Her mom said anything she needs she will purchase and offered to take us to the fabric shop; I said NO thank you figuring we can work out of my stash for quit some time. She will learn about the fabric shop soon enough ! LOL
