My sister asked me a couple weeks ago to make a quilt for the Alzheimer's auction she has. so I came up with this. Anyone have any idea on what I should put on the label and should I put my name on it?

This is a beautiful quilt. I would definitely put a date on it if nothing else.

A Life Changed To Pieces
By: Date: Donated to Alzheimer's Asoc. (whatever name it is) |
Very Nice. I would put the date and the organization's name. I don't generally put my name on quilt's I make for charity but that's personal preference I guess.
|
very nice work
|
Why not call it "Memories" and say "Donated to ..." and your name. (MY dad died of Alzheimer's last year, and I thank you for your donation.)
|
Beautiful! I love the fabrics and colors you chose. It should bring a nice amount of money!
|
That was fast, wow. I love the two blocks together. Turned out very nice.
|
Sorry but i am no help in labels. I have never done any, but I LOVE YOUR QUILT. Beautiful work.

Glad to help. Your quilt "spoke to me. I cried, too. My wonderful Grandmother, who raised me and who I loved dearly, died from this horrible disease.
Thank You for the donation. |
Thank you. I lost my mama to the horrible disease this month. It is comforting to know that others care and are helping to fight for research.

I made a couple quilts for the Alzheimer’s Association. The 2nd one was my best quilt ever and had a big label. I included my name, city, town, date and name of quilt. I also wrote that the quilt was made in honor of my Dad and his name (who was still alive at the time) and in honor of all those who have ever lived with Alzheimer’s. I named the quilt ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ because I felt the words to the song were fitting for those living with Alzheimer’s. Also wrote the lyrics on the label. (The quilt was very colorful and also dark purple, the Alzheimer’s Association’s color.) I probably went overboard but it had a lot of personal meaning. It was a raffle quilt, would have made more at an auction (gala) and I should have had a minimum starting bid. Sorry so long but I’m happy that others are raising $ and awareness for Alzheimer’s!! :-P  |
I love your quilt. I hope it raises lots of money for the foundation.
