I recently purchased an 1956 Singer 301A. Someone on the vintage machine thread said you have to make a quilt with any vintage machine in order to call her a sewing machine, so here is AnnieRose's first quilt. The little machine does a great stitch and sews very straight. It's perfect for quilting.
The quilt's a nice lap size - 56 x 72. Two charms packs were the start. The quilt lays smooth. I just didn't want it on the floor long. My Border Collie is starting to shed. |
very nice quilt

AnnieRose did a fine job! Tell her she is now initiated and a fully fledged member of the quilting machine club :)

I love your quilt!

That is gorgeous.

it is beautiful..love the colors.

Thank you. I am pleased that my first triangles came out that well.
Too late to edit: Eleanor Burns 'How Charming'. I made a last minute change. My batting was quite thick, so I skipped the scallops on the edges. I still want to try that, but I think old fashioned prints would be better for a scalloped edge. |
AnnieRose's first quilt is beautiful. I think you did great.

You and AnnieRose work well together.
