WOW, that is gorgeous, love it. I have some in the works, they are addictive, have started new ones before the old are done lol

Wow

juliea9967 04-10-2011 05:39 AM

I love this pattern, too. It's so much fun to see what you can do with all the squares. I took a class on this same pattern, it was called the Wacky 4 Patch.
I have to put another one of these on my TO DO list. Hope it makes it to the top some day.

Beautiful!

Suzanne in VT 04-10-2011 06:28 AM

Can you post the pattern for this quilt? I have been reading a little and see a pattern for something that has 6 repeats, but this would only have 4. Is there a tutorial on this site for the 4 patch posey? If so, could you post the link? If not would you consider doing one?

These quilts are pretty, but nothing I have ever been inspired to want to do UNTIL I SAW YOUR QUILT!

Love, love, love it!

Thanks for the help.

Suzanne

huntannette 04-10-2011 07:19 AM

can i ask a silly question...only because i might add this to my todo list..seems like there is a lot of fussy cutting? and please note that is a question..lol is there a lot of left-over fabric after the squares are cut? maybe i better do a search for a how-to-do post...lol

HuntA ... there's absolutely NO fussy cutting! You just stack four layers of repeats, and cut the blocks. Each block on each layer will be the same piece of fabric. Then you piece them together.

The only fussiness ... is the layering of the repeats, but virtually no wastage.

This is beautiful & in my mothers favorite colors too. I assume the border fabric IS the same fabric as the 4PP cuts...? Thanks for sharing pics!

Not sure if the traditional Kaleidoscopes are octagons, or hexagons, but I think I like the squares better too!

SO when you say 4 repeats, do you mean that I need to buy enough yardage to see four of the same pattern again complete? Than when you mention layering the repeats, do you take a pin to try to go through each layer at the same design point, in a couple of places before cutting? Thanks

Jeannie34 04-10-2011 03:52 PM
