I have another question please...when you do these as candle mats, do you use the heat resistant batting that is for pot holders ?
|
I've made several and I use a dresden template and cut a circle from an object I find in my house...dvd works fine. You can cut a circle the diameter of the circle just below the blades for the back. I'd love any other suggestions tho

I just made a couple of these and I was wondering how you do the bottom of the mat for finishing. I am kind of new to quilting and know there must be an easier step then dresdens on the bottom too. Thank you so much for your help. Nancy:mad:
bottom, backing right side up next and then top piece right side down, sewed around, left an opening...turned, sewed circle in middle, then sewed in a quarter of an inch on each petal . Peg |
