Here's a paper pieced Lighthouse mini quilt.
The more I look at it the more I wish I didn't put the dark blue around the lighthouse. Oh Well

It seems you wouldnt need to permanently hang a rod up, but just a nail or two?

Just get a bigger dowel rod to accommodate the weight & make the pockets bigger.

Very nice and I love the seagulls. Chairjogger said it we do have a lot of light houses on Lake Erie and that one looks like the one on Cuyahoga River (you all know the one that caught fire in the 60's)

I like the blue border around the lighthouse. It is a needed break before the birds. It adds something so that the lighthouse is not over powered by the birds. I love your avatar. Troll dolls were one of my favorite toys as a child.
