Another Delectable Mountains table runner w/ 5" squares

Just finished another Delectable Mountains table runner, this one made with 5" squares. I'm calling it Elemental Arizona. Believe it or not, this was inspired by some "swampy" batiks I had in my stash (ordered from EBay, luck of the draw, I didn't pick them out!) that I just wanted to use up and get rid of. I had just finished a table runner made from 10" squares in the Delectable Mountains pattern and thought I could do that again, but I wanted smaller bits of the colors I was using. So, I started with 5" squares and cut them into 3 strips instead of 4 and also mixed up the strips instead of putting the same colors back together. I added some other earthy colors to dilute the swamp effect. Funny thing is, my family loves this one! Go figure...

Hand quilted using big stitch in a variegated dark golden tan thread. The quilting was inspired by some Arizona petroglyphs. Measures 16" x 48".

No pattern, but you can watch the Missouri Star Grand Adventure video on YouTube. I used 5" squares instead of 10", cut them into 3 strips instead of 4, and mixed the strips up when putting them back together.
