Just beautiful. Wouldn't it be wonderful if someday there was no war. Had three brothers that served in Vietnam. The quilt brought a few tears. God Bless You and this soldiers family.

The sew in was a good break for me because so far these have been the only ones I done for them. But I plan on making 40 cot size ones for the guys that are left. I went through my stash yesterday and I know I have enough to make 21 tops from my stash alone so that is a start and my next quest. To make each of them one to keep them warm, as they are in the mountains and it gets really cold during the winter.
There is no way I can do them all before Christmas (I can't sew that quick) so I'm shooting for Jan as my finish date. I'm not doing any fancy stuff just something simple and effective, that's what I know how to do. Since I don't know how to free motion, I will be doing them all as tied. It's also faster for me as well.
Anyone wanting to donate towards this is more then welcome to do so. I just want them to know that we (back home) all care about what they are doing and want them to be as safe and warm as we can make it for them.
