Another LovequiltsUK quilt for Theo

I have just finished and posted a quilt for this wee boy http://lovequiltsuk.com/childquilt.php?qid=417 unfortunately when I was busy uploading pics of it this happened, the quilt tester struck yet again, she was so determined that the crease at the bottom right is me hauling on to to reclaim it and the look in her eyes and the accompanying soft growl told me she was serious!!

So I had to vacuum and lint roll it all over to get her hairs off it, what a pain.

The thing I am most chuffed about it that with it being Aida fabric that I have to sew, which frays terribly so that it has to be overlooked, and after doing one border I found that I had the seam opening on the front instead of the back so I did a designer change and appliquéd this cute sleepy hippo and I think it looks cute.

The Charity supplies all the fabric and as you can see they do a fabulous job of choosing them, making a cute quilt for a poorly kiddiewink is so easy when supplied with such a lovely kit.

What a cute quilt. This seems like a wonderful charity. I really like the idea. Thank you for sharing.

Very cute quilt and Mr. Hippo looks like he is right where he belongs. Could his brothers and sisters visit other places on the quilt? Very Smart. BrendaK

Well Mama, if she growled, then she needs you to make her one also.

What a darling quilt and my hat is off to you for your work! It is always great to have "helpers" even if they growl a little:)

Lovely quilt. If I were a kid, I'd love to wrap myself up in it!

Love the quilt. I always love to hear expressions from "across the pond." I could just hear the accent in your voice. Your quilt inspector is adorable--looks very much like mine which is half Carin terrier and half poodle. Same coloring too.

I live in Wales, Scottish origin, educated in Harrow England so my accent is described as "BBC". as a teenager I had the nickname of "Duchess" 'cos of my posh voice, but thro' it have made lots of money. Muffin my quilt tester is a rescued doggy, I had her when she was 8 weeks old, she is now 12 blind with cataracts and a right little terrorist :) The vet thinks that her mother was a pure Yorkshire Terrier who had a night on the town possibly with a Bearded Collie, hence her fearlessness, she is brave and stupid as she will take on the biggest dog if they get in her way, although she is so gently and wonderful with kiddie-winks, in case you hadn't noticed I l love her to death.
