That is a beautiful quilt. I think the trip around the world is my favorite design. The colors really make it special too.

Super awesome quilt! Sure to be an heirloom quilt!!

It was kind of cute. Today my husband came in from being out and he said, "It was a really good idea to quilt it on the diagonal like that. It really looks great and keeps the squares all lined up nicely."

I smiled.

Later I told him, "I looked on line, and lots of people quilt their ATW quilts this way--I didn't come up with it on my own." :)

The scan app on my phone was able to pick it up from your pic. This is totally awesome! I will have to look into one.

To help you pack, look for storage bags that you squeeze the air out of; you put in the quilt or clothes, zip it closed, and roll it up so the air gets squished out. That is how I brought 8 lap quilts to my family in Spain last month! Perhaps your daughter could mail you some (I found mine at "Bed Bath and Beyond"). These are fabulous quilts!
