here is another one I did. Still working with the poly batting. I'm starting to like it a little more.

Ya'll are so talented! I'm going to start sending my tops to ya'll....I haven't been having fun tonight trying to do a quilt pattern with my sewing machine!

I like how you changed the quilt pattern in every strip.
I think that I may have to steal that idea.
Great job.

I can't quilt with my sewing machine. I tried and the only way I can explain it, is like writing but moving the paper and holding the pencil still. I just can't get it. I have seen people do wonderful quilting on their sewing machine, but it's just not for me. :) Hope it works better for you.

Yes!!! I'm working on getting everything finished that I started. I can't just work on one quilt at a time. I have to do a bunch...lol.

I love the puffy look of polyester batting, but I like the smoothness of cotton. That is a very pretty quilt.

All the quilts I have ever made since 2002, some 40-50, I have used the low-loft batting. I love it. Easy to wash, light but yet warm. I've hand quilted it as well as machine quilted it, both do fine. Happy Quilting!!

80-20 warm batting is my choice. Beautiful work...Thanks for sharing.

Tamara 02-14-2011 05:27 PM

You're doing good. How long have you been doing FMQ?

barnbum 02-14-2011 05:49 PM

OOoo--I see a nice move for the quilts I asked about last night!! So--you're not using your machine--but a long arm?? If you lived closer I could give you lots to practice on! I just hate sandwiching...and would be more than happy to hand tops and backs over!!

KrystelsQuilts 02-14-2011 05:50 PM

Yes on a long arm. I cannot get the hang of doing on on a sewing machine. :)
