Hi there, I wanted to share my find from a local thrift store...It was $4.00...it is full size...It's in good shape...It's been washed several times, the batting feels worn..I was wondering if anyone can tell about how old it is by some of the fabric.

Love it. Congrats
|
This is actually my 3rd quilt that I have found at a thrift store or goodwill for CHEAP....I just can't pass them up...I know how long it takes to make one...plus the thought that goes into them...

It is truly beautiful. Congrats

You got a great deal,it's a pretty one. It looks like the fabrics are several years old,but I won't say how old.
|
30s, 40s, and maybe some 50s, others may have other ideas as to how old the fabric is. Could be reproductions but I doubt it. I would guess made in the 50s with older fabrics. Just my thought. :)

I can't help you with the age of the quilt but I love the quilt!
|
The prints are original feedsack prints from the 30s and 40s. The sashing print was sold by the yard in the Sears catalogue in the mid 40s. Very nice find!

Wow! What a treasure. It looks like the feed sack fabrics that my grandmother made in the 40's and 50's. Beautiful quilt. Glad you rescued it.
