Nope, not hard. Mark the center of bag lining, then measure down about 1 1/2" from the top , use the metal "washer" that comes with snap to draw your lines where you snip to put the snap through. There are directions on the Dritz magnetic snap package.

Magnetic? I'm looking to put snaps in one of my bow tuck totes but haven't done snaps before. What are the tricks?
