I saw a vidseo on Missour Star Quilt Company doing a block she had seen by one of her customers, who saw the block at her LQS, Three Dudes, 3 guys who own a quilting shop here in my home town.
(well, next town over, I think.) Jennie called and talked to Ray, one of the owners, and she mae a video of a quilt she made, and used a mix of the blocks, but I did a controlled version. If you make two blocks exactly the same, you can make two blocks that are like positive/negative blocks as I show you in the second picture. I used 2-1/2" WOF strips sewn together and cut into 8-1/2" blocks, getting 5 out of a strip set and made two identical blocks from the strip set. (The extra block went into my ophan box) I really love this quilt, but wasn't fond of making it with all that bias.

Very pretty. I tried one of these with a jelly roll and it's a UFO because I wasn't pleased with the result. I'll have to try your more controlled version. Thanks for sharing.
