Another scrappy with mostly batiks
1 Attachment(s)
I saw this at my guild meeting, the gal called it Buttercream Twist, but I couldn't find it online. So I just drafted it to be a 10-1/2" unfinished block -- two strips of pattern at 5.5" and 3.5" wide and sandwiched around a 2.5" strip of an off white. I cut the 3 pieces of fabric into pieces about 38" long and was able to get 15 pieces per strip set, to make 3 blocks. Sew, press and cut into 2.5" wide strips. Alternated the placement when sewing. I'm pleased with the way it turned out nice, it will be turned in tomorrow at my charity group.
Looks a bit wonky in the pix but is pretty square, need to repress the corner. |
