This is a jacket I made using a sweatshirt. I made it for the retreat I am going to in Quitman Tx in April. They sent 6 packets of fabric left over from previous BOMs and you had to make something to bring to the retreat. It was a challenge! Some of the fabric was only 2inches square but I only had 3 fabrics I did not use, one was a 1 1/2 inch square and one was a baby blue.

Thanks everyone.
Esther, it is not hard to do at all. I guess taking the sweatshirt apart is probably the hardest part. I got the pattern at Nancy's Notions and this is my second one to make. Tia Sarah, Quitman is about 50 miles north of Tyler. |
Beautiful and I love the colors!

That is so cool. I want to make one. I love the colors too.

You are going to be styling! Looks great! No challenge for you! And I like the lining. I was going to ask if it was reversible! You could Disco the night away!

Was it a Mary Malari pattern? I know Nancy sells those books. Beverly |
Very pretty! I love it!
Thanks for sharing!! |
Pretty jacket. I bet you are going to one of the retreats by Stitchin Heaven. You will probably need a jacket at night. It has been warm in East Texas during the day but sometimes at night it can get a little chilly. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Maybe the Dogwoods will still be blooming and the azaleas are beautiful right now. I live 45 miles south of Tyler. Have fun and enjoy the Texas hospitality.

I really like your quilted sweatshirt jacket. Did you find the pattern on the internet? I've wanted to make one for years but just haven't started .. You've inspired me. Love your colors, too. Great job. |
Love the jacket! Great work!

Your jacket is beautiful. I love the colors in this jacket. My MIL use to make quilted jackets back in the late 80's early 90's. She made me one before I had children. Needless to say I had it packed at the drycleaners and hope for the day I can take it out again to wear it.

I found a website last night. It's called Alibris.com. It has a bunch of patterns from Mary Mulari. A lot of them are sweatshirt books but can't figure out which one might have your jacket pattern in it. If you get the time check it out and see if your pattern is among them and let us all know. Would like to make my mama one for her birthday or Christmas. Thanks.
