I dappled in Applique...it was so much easier than I thought it would be to sew them. The fabric is from the kit when I bought the gold club membership from Keepstakes (one time fee). The only material that wasn't was the border. That was from my stash. I am trying to be good...and use up a lot of my stash...This lap quilt will go to my sister who just had a hip replaced. I will wait till she get out of the hostipal and back on the Island. It will just be a pain for her if I ship it to the hostipal. She will have 6 weeks on the couch to enjoy it.. ; ) Hope to have it quited and binded by next weekend,

The colors work so well together. A great "get well" gift:)

I like this quilt, the colors are so pretty together and the appliques are a nice accent to the big color blocks.

I had my hip replaced 3 yrs ago...the best thing that I did was NOT stay on the couch...by getting up and moving around everyday, the recovery time is ALOT shorter...I was out mowing the lawn in 5 weeks...the quilt is beautiful...Naomi

Love it. I know she will, too.

My Mom had 2 hip replacements, in her 80's and the sooner she can get up and use it, the faster recovery time is. I know she will enjoy the quilt with the Get Well Kitties!!

I too have both hips replaced and agree with the previous comments about getting up and moving. My hairdresser also had both of hers done and was back doing hair 6 weeks each time after surgery. Your quilt is very nice even though I'm a doggie person.

The colors do work well together. What a wonderful thing to do. It will help the recovery to use something beautiful and thoughtful
