Another UFO finished
1 Attachment(s)
This is #4 in my year to finish all UFO quilts. It's the biggest one I've ever done at 91 x 108. Quilting was done by Missouri Star quilting services. Blue is from Shibori and Shibori II collections, white is tone on tone. Binding finished by hand. It's going to my daughter but I'm thinking of asking her if I can enter it into the county fair in August. I'm really critical of myself, but I think this one is good.
I had enough fabric left over to make a smaller lap quilt just like it for myself, and that's what I'll work on next. |

Subtle but glamorous!! I love it.

You are making amazing progress with your UFO's where I on the other hand am just creating more. I need to hire a finisher. "smile" I like the color choices for this quilt. It is very calming.

Very pretty quilt. Love the simplicity of it but seems so gorgeous too.
|
Great quilt. I love everything about it and really like your backing choice. Definitely enter it in the fair.

lovely quilt, great blues
|
Beautiful quilt. To me, it seems peaceful.
|
I like all kinds of quilts - crazy, complicated, scrappy, old-fashioned - but there's something very comforting about a simple quilt like this, well-done and with great colors. Good luck at the fair!

Thanks so much for sharing, I have the pattern and blues saved for it!

I love this quilt! I was so surprised to see a picture of it. I purchased this quilt kit 3 years ago from a local quilt shop and just this past week I decided it was time to get it done. I wanted to make it into a king size, and thought I had purchased enough fabric to do so. But when I started cutting, I realized I was one yard short of the white. I went to the quilt store hoping to find one yard, ( but what would be the chances after three years??? of finding more of this fabric).
Things were in my favor! The clerk helped me find the last two half yard cuts of this fabric (it was a white batik). It was enough to get all the pieces I needed. I’m looking forward to having this on our bed this summer! |
What a gorgeous quilt! You did a wonderful job. Blue is my favorite color.
I've sent quilts to Missouri Star and have always been happy with their work. |
I've recently fallen in love with Japanese quilts of all kinds and fabrics too! What a lovely quilt-so elegant! Can't wait to see your lap quilt.
|
Blue and white together my favorite. Your quilt is just lovely, thanks for sharing it.
