I felt is was time consuming, but not that hard. I did become very close with my seam ripper though. Read the book/instructions first, for tips, etc. and for me, I ended up buying more fabric than it called for, but, think that was becuase I wasn't that accurate with cutting the pieces. I cut all the pieces way bigger than they really needed to be. Just remember to have fun doing it
