1st time I bought jelly rolls.they were so uneven I will never by one again-will cut my own.I am thinking it needs borders but could not decide so in the basket it went

I like this pattern and have been wanting to try it. It came out very nice.
I agree I will cut my own jelly rolls.

Very nice, like this on too!

Yes, I belief it does need a border. Pick one of the colors that you got in there, may be green.

It is a very nice quilt, don't put it back in the basket! :-P

I hate when things do not line up.if it is my fault I try to get better but when you pay the price they want for a jelly roll they should be cut accurately -they were more than 1/4 in off in places.

Very nice! I agree, that it would look nice with a border to frame.

mommamac 02-15-2011 06:35 AM

I'd border it in one of the darker tones. Bet you'll be glad you rescued it from that basket when it's complete - it's going to be great!

Really like this! Do you mind sharing the name of the pattern? I like BRIGHTS and could possibly "frame" with black? What do you think?

Wolph,
I'd like to make a suggestion -- a dictum from my original quilting teacher, Mary Ellen Hopkins - It's Okay If You Sit On My Quilt...... "If *you* aren't doing the work then the* fabric* has to." (As in, if the piecing is very simple, use multiple, wonderful, interesting prints to "make" the quilt.)

I'd find a large print fabric with these colors in it for the border.

Pretty. Yes, I too think it needs a border. Just take your pick from all the lovely colors in the quilt. It will look wonderful when finished.

love it! it's so bright and happy! i've never bought a jelly roll; thank you for the info on them, i will cut my own as well then and save the dollars!
cheers!!

Very pretty. Do a narrow border in the same white fabric that you used in the weave.
If you have some batiks laying around, you can probably pick one with some of the same colors in it and border it with that, maybe something with a large stamped print in it. Pick another darker one to use as a binding

You did a beautiful job. I agree it needs a border. Put one on and I'm sure you will love it..

I know how uneven Bali Pops can be, but have never had any trouble with Jelly Rolls.

hperttula123 02-15-2011 06:12 PM

I love that pattern! Beautiful. :)

emerald46 02-15-2011 06:31 PM

Love it, going to add this pattern to my to do list.

Jingle 02-15-2011 06:37 PM

I think it would look great with at least a dark colored narrow border, then you could make a wider border, either light or dark.
