Got this pattern at Hancock awhile ago. Finally got it made. It is one purse and covers to change it up. Love it!! I added the zipper tho.

What 'cha think?

EDITED with pattern info Simplicity # 2676

TN Gal 10-02-2012 04:57 AM

Love it! Is that pattern still available?

grammy Dwynn 10-02-2012 05:01 AM

Beautiful purse(s)!

Would love pattern information, please.

crafty3236 10-02-2012 05:02 AM

ok so do explain? would that be just one purse with different bottoms?and what is the pattern called?
cool looking!like maybe could be made for the younger ones....

nls 10-02-2012 05:05 AM

Great idea. Hope you are able to share the pattern name!

DebbE 10-02-2012 05:06 AM

Some of us 'older' ones love it, too! What is the pattern called?

QuiltnNan 10-02-2012 05:09 AM

i've seen these done on the infomercials, but yours is so much better. great job!!!!

sewnsewer2 10-02-2012 05:09 AM

Thanks everyone.

Oops, it is a simplicity pattern #2676 (edited on my post).

Yes, it is one purse and separate bottom covers.

Lady Jane 10-02-2012 05:41 AM

This is soooo neat!!!

Tartan 10-02-2012 06:06 AM

Cute as a button! The bottom of my purse always gets nasty so that pattern would be great for washing one bottom when you change colours. The button on outer shell also has great cubbies for things like sunglasses and keys, super!

jojosnana 10-02-2012 06:09 AM

What a clever idea!

MTS 10-02-2012 06:16 AM

I think that's very clever (and I never ever carry a purse).

Do those "pockets" on the outside then become usable, or would everything just flow straight to the bottom?

I guess you could sew inside pockets on the removable bottoms. Maybe.

lenette 10-02-2012 06:45 AM

Really impressive!!! Love it!

justme 10-02-2012 06:57 AM

I have that pattern too... just sitting there waiting to be made, oh the inspiration that you just gave me.... good job and thanks for sharing.

needles3thread 10-02-2012 07:03 AM

I love this purse pattern

fivepaws 10-02-2012 08:09 AM

Thank you, thank you. I am sure Simplicity will have a huge run on that pattern. Hope they still have some when they get my order. I made bow-tucks for the bazaar last year and this will be perfect for this year.

joyce j 10-02-2012 08:18 AM

Yes, they are usable. I don't need to unbutton them because I have small hands LOL. And yes, stuff does fall to the bottom, but I haven't had any problem 'digging' for anything, like my phone.

red-warrior 10-02-2012 04:44 PM

I like the variety you were able to create!

Debbie B 10-02-2012 04:57 PM

I love it. I think I'll be going to Hancock's to look for that pattern. Was it hard to make? I've made quite a few Bow Tucks bags. Do you use fusible fleece? Good job!

BeckiB 10-02-2012 05:01 PM

I have two of these purses. Love them and get so many compliments on them.

cmrenno 10-02-2012 05:14 PM

Sewnsewer2,
The zipper that you have added really makes this bag wonderful. Do you have any hints to give us for putting in the zipper???

Colleen

JanieH 10-03-2012 02:57 AM

Young or old - who wouldn't love it! You did a great job making it and love your fabric selections. I love this - thanks so much for posting it and the pattern information.

Brilliant. I'd love the pattern. Hope it's around.

Isn't that amazing!! I knew the pattern you were talking about before I saw the pictures (and I was right). All look very cute.

Blinkokr 10-03-2012 03:46 AM

Debbie is wasn't too hard. And I added a lining and zipper to mine. Took me a good while to figure out the zipper part because I'd never put one in like this one before, so you might want to go with what the pattern says and make the tab if you aren't used to sewing zippers. Yes, I did use fleece. And for the pockets and cover I used fusible interfacing, not the fleece.
