i need help very bad


iam making trying to the quilt that is behind the lady in this video http://quiltingtutorials.com/basic-s...-quarter-inch/ on the same site i watched a video on how to make this quilt with jelly rolls i found the pefect color jelly rolls at big lots of all places i followed the video at least i thought i did none of my squares are lining up i did my best to try to get it to line up when i ironed it all flat its not flat looks like its so uneven with bubbles under it i am so frustrated i need help really bad i dont know how i can fix this mess i made i am to a point were i can take apart the big squares i am lost if anyone in the las vegas or henderson area can help me please message me i am willing to go to you or your wecolme to come here of course help

It's because of the bias edges.

You need to be very careful once you cut the blocks - try to minimize any stretch to the edges and press very gently.
Once they're stretched, you've got bubbles.

I would suggest you starch the strip sets BEFORE you cut the blocks.
That should help keep the squares square.

As I take everything out down to single squares can anyone tell me how do I make each square the same so everything will line up I have over 150 of these single square which four of these squares make up the larger square. I would hate to have to start all over.



Only thing I can come up is make each square the same size and put a boarder around each square then sew all squares all together. And then try to do this pattern again at a later date.

Pictures are always helpful.

If, however, your squares are already cut, and depending upon how stretched out of shape they are, it's not a lot of fun trying to get all the diagonals to match when joining blocks together, and keeping it all square.

So, are you sure you've cut them all the same size?
Are you pinning the intersections before joining the blocks?

And, sure, you could always put a border around each block, square up all the blocks to the same size, and then join them together.
You lose the design as presented in the quilt, but maybe using a variety of fabrics to border the squares, you get a different looking one.

Or you could join, say, 12 blocks together, press and starch those to lie flat, border that piece, and use that as a building block in the quilt.

Again, hard to say without seeing a picture showing the condition of the blocks.

Well I I know they at not all the same size only cause I didn't have the instructions you shared with me. I will take several photos and post then in the picture section. Just be prepared to be shocked its bad.
