I was asked for some close ups from the applications I have made with the embroidery machine. As I gave the two blancets away I just have some pictures from the making and I just made some pictures of my new project: sunbonnet sue applications. The toys are made 5" x 7" and the sunbonnets 4" x 4"

Verrrry nice! I too do embroidery and love the applique embroidery patterns a lot!

tried a closer one. It is a great way to use up scraps too. I will need 96 sunbonnet for my project and I will try to use each fabric just ones as a dress and ones as a hat.............good excuse to buy charm packs

What type of stabilizer do you use?

I always work with selfadhesive (hope its the correct word: you peal some paper off and than stick the fabric on it) stabilyzer.
After finishing and removing the patch I just "seal" the hole with a big enough new piece of stabilizer.

Those are wonderful and exactly the kind of thing I want to learn to do. Any tips or directions are really appreciated.

Right now I am feeling overwhelmed by all the things I need to do and want to do. Hopefully I can work myself out of this so I can move forward. I guess the sucky economy isn't helping my morale, either. Sorry to go off on a tangent. I guess I just needed to say it. :oops:

it is very easy to do as the embroidery machine is "telling" you what to do next. And if you buy the embroidery datas (I cant digitalize pictures myself) they come with instruction.
And yes.........times are not easy, but as long as so many people making so beautiful quilts for generations to come it will get better.
