Applique Valentine Hearts

This Valentine table runner, with its bright colors, will brighten my kitchen table. The blocks are machine appliqué using embroidery designs I bought from Designs by Ju Ju. This design only takes 10 minutes to stitch, so the hearts were the easiest part. Using scraps from my stash (which grows seemingly overnight) I cut rectangles of 2 x 3 1/2 inches. I have a die for my accuquilt cutter, and I am taking advantage of it and use it any chance I get. I plan on doing some free motion quilting in white area of blocks, using white thread and will use my walking foot for stitch in the ditch on the piano keys border. This was a fun project on a gray weekend.
