Please ignore it's wrinkles - it is in the process of being hand quilted and it gets bunched up a lot. This is hand appliqued using the freezer paper method.

Thank you! About a year.. along with lots of other things. Need to finish for the State Fair in July. I got yelled at last year for there being no handquilting entries. Won't let that happen this year.

Have you tried hand applique using wool? If you like regular applique you will love using the wool - no turning under.

this is just lovely. like all the appliques, but the kitty...awe!
great tip about the wool. it's pricey, but have seen so many incredible things made with it. I might have to try it. oops...not now. got to stick to my 09 deals i made with myself.
