Appliqued rag baby quilt

Recently I posted questions about rag applique as I've never done this before. I have finished the baby quilt with that new technique & I like how it turned out. I echoed around the flower pedals & between the blocks. Here's pics of the quilt before I washed it.

Here are pictures after the quilt was washed. I think it will be a good tactile quilt for baby.

Very different design for a rag quilt. Love it.

That rag applique is a fun idea....now I want to try. Your flowers are so pretty.

Cute quilt...it washed up nicely. I can't imagine sewing around each of those petals...

I love the way you did it. So pretty

Great idea. I like the "raggy" look without all the muss of when you cut all the edges of the blocks. Goes into my to-do pile

I really like how it turned out. This technique must not be used much as I could not find much out on the web about it. I'm assuming the more the quilt is washed the more it will "rag" but I could be wrong. I like it just as it is right now....not too much rag & not too little. I snipped each pedal 8 times...4 on each side & snipped around the center yellow circles so it would rag.
jmoore, the echoing around the pedals did take a lot of time but turned out great.
copycat, I found that fabric for the back online from Jo-Ann's & it was perfect!
The pedals were made from a jelly roll from Jo-Ann's called Eclectic Elements Cotton Jelly Roll Fabric-Pink Assortment. I bought 2 jelly rolls with 20 strips in each roll but I only need one roll for the quilt.

Thanks for all the compliments!
