Picture #1,2 & 7 - I think this might be some kind of elastic attachment contraption.
Picture 5 & 6 looks like an old-fashioned ruffler. The attachments in picture 4 are newer, more modern versions. |
Oh my, I must be one of those older people. I still have the owners manual for my very first sewing machine. 29 years ago. The sewing machine is long gone, but I have the manual. I even have a set of keys to my 75 corvette. Guess I need to down size before I move again

Nowadays we know that we can find copies..we can get along without some of them..we put them here and there..or at least I do, even though I was throughly taught that if something was lost, there was NO money to get more. But as for having everything that came with each new machine I bought over the years...it's a toss up if I could or couldn't find all of them. |
Thanks!!
(wish I'd thought of numbering the photo's) #5 & #6 has an interesting dial on the top, I'll just have to give them all a go when the machine is done. |
I know how some attachments get to thrift stores without machines. My grandmother never sewed, even though her mother was a seamstress and milliner. My grandmother bought my mother her sewing machine as a wedding present. A wonderful Singer 15-91 in a cabinet. She also gave her a box full of attachments. Fast forward to 6 years ago and my mother gives me the machine and the box of attachments. I was having a wonderful time with the book, machine and various attachments. But that box of extras my grandmother bought I was not able to attach to the machine. I tried everything, finally called my mom, asked her if she ever used them and she said she was not able to get them to work, but kept them because she thought it didn't hurt to keep them. So I looked closer they all had a "W" on them, checked the internet and found they were for another brand all together. My mom and I had a good laugh over it and I gave the the attachments to the local thrift store.

go to that web site and it shows a book and it had the attchments and give u the names |
The top picture is for making buttonholes. If you look long enough you will see the similarities. Did you happen to find an instruction booklet with the attachments? If so it might try to explain how to use this thing, otherwise may I suggest you ask around. On this board that seems to work wonderfully.

I got mine for the 66 model on ebay and it came with 13 things...some just look like they attach to something else but I wouldn't guess what...the one I posted is a ruffler but haven't tried it. it came with one with the bar out the side that is adjustable for quilting and lo and behold it it a perfect 1/4"..whoopee...LOL

I always buy attachments in thrift stores when I see them. Figure I can share them here....as someone may be looking for them.
Did you post a pic of your new treadle? Would love to see one! Congrats on your new baby...or should I say "old" baby? |
