I love your quilt and I too would like to know if you fussy cut or used a panel to make this beauty.

I have a lovely landscape panel that I didn't know how to use. Now I do! Thanks for sharing your quilt and inspiring me and others.

Another attic window.

I've had some emails asking how I did my attic window back in 2008 so thought I'd post the answer here with a picture of another one I finished this year.
So I started with a panel & cut it into 9 equal pieces then added sashings to the left and bottom using the method in the links below. Then I sewed 1/2 inch black sashings around each block. After I took the picture posted on the forum then I also added a 3 inch border around the whole thing - made it look more like a real window. The one below has it too. http://www.crystalpalaceyarns.com/eq...ticwindow.html http://www.quiltaholics.com/bom/attwin.htm |
Very pretty, love the colors.

I finally finished my first attic window. Thanks again for the inspiration Katherine. This is a Michael Miller panel called Serenity Bridge. I think next time I need to add another wider border on the outside edge to look more like a window frame.

What great work.
So pretty.. |
Beautiful panel, and I agree, a wider border would be better. Thanks for sharing.
