Attic Window Flowers
2 Attachment(s)
I bought the panel with the flowers a few years ago. I began picking up fabrics with complimentary colors hoping that one day I would find a project that could do the panel justice.
The attic window blocks seem to be appropriate. The panel was only 22 x 45 - not really wide enough. I added three border pieces to make up the space I needed--still on the fence on whether or not I could have made a better decision on the colors. I started with a 35 x 40 panel piece. The pattern is from a MSQC tutorial. Very easy. Just needs to be quilted! |
Good job. BrendaK

I have been wanting to do another attic window and your top is just a great reminder to get it started. Beautiful work

Great idea!

My fav technique! I "attic window" too! Great job! The only thing that I do is to not use so many panes. But...that is me. Yours is still wonderful and I esp. Love your borders! The colors really pop!

I need to do an attic window soon!

Beautiful quilt. I am working on an attic window now using a bird panel.
|
LOVELY!!!!!!!! good idea to use panels!
|
Love your quilt. I tried making an attic window once, but it was just after I started quilting and I gave up. I was just wondering - if you put the border fabric without the window panes, would it look like draperies surrounding a window with flowers showing through the window? Just a thought.

It's beautiful! I love it and I think your colors go fine with your beautiful panel!
|
Your quilt it beautiful! You have given me an idea for a baby quilt using a panel.
|
Yes - it would look like drapes.

Very lovely..the extra on the sides makes it more like shutter and added depth to it. Very pretty!
