Auburn quilt for my daughter

1 Attachment(s)
I am doing a happy dance right now. The Auburn quilt is finally done. It has taken up space in my sewing room for so long. It had started out as a king size drawing; then was going to be an Alabama/Auburn quilt; then decided to make 2 quilts - 1 Alabama & 1 Auburn. Seems like it has been redesigned so many times and just never was what I wanted or thought my daughter wanted. (The Alabama quilt went to her fiancee in Feb for his birthday.) I hope she likes it. I've given her the pillow cases already but will make 2 more tomorrow to go on 2 bigger pillows she recently bought.

That is beautiful. I have some New Orleans Saints scraps, which I had no idea what to do with. Thanks for the idea and for sharing.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the nice comments. Daughter hasn't been able to get over here to pick it up but hopes to come by today. I should have sent her a picture but didn't. Maybe I should just send her a picture of the back. LOL.

It is a great quilt. I am happy for you that it is finished. It is hard when they take so long.

LOL. We lived in Arkansas (Fayetteville area) for about 4.5 years after my dh got out of the Navy. I 've always had family there - been back and forth since I was a kid. My dh is a Razorback. His senior year at Univ of Ark was my freshman year. I actually have a little bit of some Ark fabric and will make a quilt for him out of it. I'd like to get more fabrics to add to it but if not, I'll just go with red, white and black.

My daughter picked up the quilt yesterday and was really tickled with it!

Hope everyone has a great day!
