Very nice. I love the old-style embroidered tops like this. You did an awesome job on it and it is sure to be an heirloom. Thanks for sharing.

Adorable. Wonderful work. Brings to mind the Aunt Jemima cookie jar on my grandmother's table -- always full of her
"tee gateau sec." (little tea cakes)

I have a set of dish flour sack dish towels embroidered with these cuties. I had so much fun embroidering them. It must have been the late 80's when I was in high school. My mom chose the pattern because they were very detailed and it would be a challenge for me. Still using them, as life with a dishwasher leaves me with very few dishes to hand wash and wipe.

I liked the old "Aunt Jemima", too. I think it was changed because of racial problems. I used to love "Little Black Sambo" too, and had my grandpa read it over and over to me. I was so glad when the tiger turned to butter.
