Aussie Babies Quilt
 

This quilt was made for a good friend to give to her daughter and son-in-law who are expecting their first child. They both work in National Parks and requested a quilt featuring Aussie bush animals. This quilt was featured in APQ Vol 23 No 4 (Let's Celebrate Australia Day 2014) and I have modified the quilt to suit the request. The background is made with a selection of sunrise/sunset batiks.

Gum trees, gumleaves and animals are fused onto background and machine appliqued and its machine quilted.
