It`s a bit early, I know :) I found the pattern in an old quilting magazine and couldn't wait. And this is step one of my 2013 goal of using my fabric leftovers

doing a tut of a published pattern would be a violation of copyright

rkymtnquilter 01-10-2013 02:35 PM

Thank you all for your kind words!

As for the pattern, well, I found it in a german quilting mag. Also i was looking in the www, but for this runner there is no online tutorial avaible. I know it isn't a big help, but here is a link to that mag

Fabulous table runner & window topper's that you have created, with your fabric left over's. They couldn't be prettier & such nice work too!! You are an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Hey!
The parts in the middle are similar or the same like the french braid pattern, but more narrow than usual. As for the ends of the runner i still didn't find a tutorial.

quilter68 01-12-2013 05:25 AM

SWEET, sweet, sweet! The stripes make these above and beyond.

solstice3 01-12-2013 06:33 AM

Both are lovely but I really like the table topper

grandmahoney 01-12-2013 07:00 AM

very nice. I love pine comb fabric.

Evelyn 01-12-2013 07:03 AM

Very unusal! But great ! Thanks for sharing photo

rocklady 01-12-2013 08:03 AM

I'll bet if we were given the width of the strips and the size of the center squares, we could figure it out. It is essentially a french braid in the center four pieces and a log cabin diamond on the ends. Would that infringe on the copywrite? I'm always facinated by using stripes. It's the placement of the stripes that makes this so interesting.

milikaa1 01-12-2013 08:18 AM

Those are really cute!
