I love that version of a Sampler. It's controlled but simple. Oh boy...another for the bucket list. Guess I need to get the magazine.

Thanks Tartan. It was custom quilted by a very talented quilter in Southern New Hampshire named Lori. She used a couple of different designs: Leaves in the large open white spaces, a design called Amazon Star over the sampler blocks, and a type of feather on the brown border. She uses both pantographs and computer-aided designs,

Yes, the BOM is just getting started. And it doesn't have too many blocks. I like the open design. Block one is the heart.

Thank you! Yes indeed- name is Heart of the Fall Sampler by Jo Moury. It appears in the Quilt Pattern Magazine beginning this month (Jan. 2014) and runs through November, I think.
