I was just admiring your avatar on your OBW thread and was about to check your topics to see if it was on here and then there it was! It is absolutely beautiful piecing and quilting. But you must have fingers like iron to quilt not only batik but PPd batik at that!!! Respect! :-D :-D :-D

Homespun 02-03-2011 06:54 AM

They both are spectacular!

It did a lot of sitting in the corner while I whined over sore fingers. My youngest (43) asked me a long time ago to make this for her so it was a labor of love.

dunster 02-03-2011 07:45 AM

Both are gorgeous. I love the hand quilting!

dixiebelle162002 02-03-2011 07:52 AM

Well it was certainly worth it! I'm about your daughter's age, do you want to adopt me and make me one too?

Adopting is fine but shouldn't the child be doing for the parent? Maybe you are already a relative as my Dad came over from Colchester in 1921.

Drooling over the compass..and hand quilted..your quilting arm must be like Popeye's poking that needle through those batiks thousands of time. I am in awe of you.
