I wish I could design like this, lol. The pattern is 'Reaching Out' by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts. Mine is a little (?) brighter than the original, so I used the same background for setting in the nine patches instead of contrasting fabric, a small inner order not in the pattern and a plain outer border.

Your applique is fantastic!! Such a beautiful quilt! If it is not raw-edge or Eleanor Burns methods, I avoid it! Hand work is my phobia!
