I don't want to seem stupid, but what is an avatar? I know about the movie, but I have heard this word mentioned several times on this message board

Someone has probably already answered this for you. The Avatar is the small photo to the left. I loved the movie Avatar, so I have given some thought to what it "means" and I would guess that it means something that represents you. For example if you are into Second Life(is that the right name).. the personna that you create is your avatar.
