So after doing two baby burp clothes I decided I would be brave and try making a bib. I think I spent a whole day looking at patterns from the board and found a couple that I would love to try. This is my first one. It can be double sided and it is very easy to make.

I love to make bibs from scraps. I also sew strips together to make a piece of fabric, then cut out my pattern. Each one is unique. I use velcro for the fastener.

I think baby and mom will be happy with those

I've been told the velcro wears down the more you wash it and I think I will be washing the bibs often so thats why I picked the snaps.

I love this pattern. My daughter is 39, son is 31 and youngest daughter is 15. I still have the bibs I made for them to match their clothes. I used snaps for the older two but used velcro for the youngest. Never a problem. Just close it or re-attach the velcro before washing. Since they matched their clothes, they wore them as long as they were clean. I also put terry cloth on the backs of many and would flip them to eat or if clean.
