I needed to finish my baby blanket for my soon to be grandchild. The shower is tomorrow and i finished today....

I attempted some stars, added a silky border and threw in a lot of love

I have a long arm and frame but haven't used it very often. They are freehand quilting and my stars are goofy because I couldn't remember how to draw stars. I had to practice drawing in the dust on my furniture :D

just returned from the baby shower and Momma loved it, auntie who suggested the silky edge liked it and the other auntie saw it via the internet liked it. Momma's co-workers were at the shower and said she couldn't deliver this week, but could next week. I am shooting for the 28th but we'll have to wait and see.

I love it! It looks so soft and cuddly!

DA, you did well. That precious baby will love the feel of the satiny binding. And the dust comment just cracks me up. I thought I was the only one not dusting. I picture all of your houses so spiffy and shiny. The dust over here just gets thicker and thicker. I figure I can't dust if I'm sitting at the machine.

Marcia 10-19-2008 05:55 PM

How sweet!! That is going to be a well loved quilt--it is so soft looking!!!
