I seen this panel at Joanns. I had to squeeze in a baby blanket while doing other Christmas stuff so I figured great its all there I just need to add the batting, backing, some quilting, and bind it.
Done. Well if you ever see these panels with everything already
appliqued and you think oh how cute trust me keep right on walking. They are not worth $24 for 1. Not worth the headache for 2. They are probably put together by the local pub for 3. Horrible. If it hadn't been for an advanced quilter friend it would have been in the garbage. She bought a doggie
1 that after seeng how bad mine was she took hers back.
So here it is finally done. Just don't look to close. I delivered it today to the soon to be mom and dad and they loved it so that
made me happy after all the frustration I had with it.

well, you did take lemons and made lemonade and the parents probably are not quilters, and the baby isn't yet, so...all turned out, and you shared experience with us.
I'd say you did a great job, all the way around. :-D

Thanks quiltncrazy I never even thought of the lemons to lemonade. Great way to think about it. I'll keep that in mind
for all other impossible projects I get myself into. ;)

Kits are great I can't wait to see a picture of it when you get it done. This was an already put together project that I should have inspected before buying. I was just in a hurry and thought oh how cute and oh look at the time I'm going to save. :hunf:
It was on a roll just like regular fabric and they cut me off a panel.
Oh well its done and I have moved on. Getting that Christmas crunch going. How did I ever work.
Merry Christmas

aww, that is SOOOOO cute! I love it!

What did you actually have a problem with? Was the fabric not squared up? Was the fabric flimsy or did it just not quilt up well? I'm worked with a number of panels and can usually get them done fairly quickly. Sometimes I'll add a pieced border or cut them up so I can add fabric. It does make the MQ go quickly because you don't have the seams to quilt over.
