Baby Blocks

I just made this ~40x48" quilt for a neighbor who has a new baby. The parents chose the colors - remember Sunoco gas stations?

Lovely, good choice of colours and fabric - this one is still on my 'to do' list!!
What a great quilt....good fabric choices and I like the dense quilting.
great looking quilt!
Love the pattern.
Yeah, about that dense quilting, I haven't much experience doing free-motion and what little I do have was a few years ago. It's inconsistent, there are crossovers, loops and points in the stippling. But I figure babies are good to practice on because they have so many other things to complain about quilting mistakes are well below their radar.

nicely done

Cute quilt!
Very well done.
Just beautiful. I love the the fabrics. So bright and cheery. I'm sure the new parents are just going to love it.
Love this quilt! Love the pattern, colors, and the dense quilting!

Beautiful quilt..love the colors...and, yes, I do remember Sunoco gas stations. My father owned 2 stations way back in the 60's. We still have a few around here with their blended pumps.
Jennie, as I recall Sunoco's color theme was vivid blue and yellow. Is that right?
Good pattern for a baby.
very nice job!!!!
Sunco ! We have a Sunco gas pump (all shiny blue and yellow) in our garage (restored by DH) !
SunOco - the "O" is for oil! Sun Oil Company = Sunoco
Blue and yellow - remember when the world wasn't afraid of color? |
I remember them but they weren't on the west coast. Cute quilt.
