And 2 more to go. Would have been only 1 more, but, another baby shower to go to so now it is 2. This one was a challenge because the baby on the way is a girl and her parents are doing a space theme in her room. I like to try and match up either the theme they are going with or the personality of the parents.
1st challenge, find a fabric with a space theme for a girl. Done. Found this retro fabric online.
2nd challenge, find a fabric for the center that goes with the featured fabric, not easy but done.
3rd challenge, what pattern to use. Went with simple because the space fabric and the center applique were so busy. The appliques were all pictures I found, enlarged and traced onto muslin, then colored with fabric markers and colored pencils. Very time consuming but fun.
I have LITERALLY been in my sewing room for 3 days straight with very few brakes and have finally finished. The shower is next Saturday.
