Baby is going to LOVE the quilt you made!
I hope I always remember the first time our brandy new grandson "saw" the contrast of black and white with a touch of red ... DD has read that this is what babes can really see until they are a few months old, so we went right down and got him a bunch of black,red, and white toys. We hung the mobile over his crib, and the little fellow almost FLEW trying to reach it.
I am a BIG believer in black and white with red quilts. Hot pink counts too (in my opinion <g>) <wave>
