I made this for a friend who is having her baby girl sometime this month. She's ue on Dec. 29th, but has gestational diabetes so she will probably deliver 2 weeks early. I'm hoping for my b-day which is the 15th!! Lol.
Anyway, it's not perfect, it's made out of the same fabric as Rylynn's quilt since I had so much left. I will never, repeat, never use fleece for backing EVER EVER EVER again. Stretches too much and causes too many wrinkles. I put the heart on the back of the quilt to cover the reaaaaaallllyyyy bad wrinkle that I just couldn't get out... and the heart was made so quickly it really sucks. I asked her if I could have it back so i could fix it, and she refused. Lol. I told her if it falls off, I better get it back because then I can fix it. :) Anyway, enough jabbering. BTW, the dog is my Aussie puppy Newman, and he's a wonderful inspector... he wanted to lay on it dearly :) EDIT: sorry guys, you have to turn your heads to look at the pictures... I forgot to flip 'em. |
Very very cute! Mommy will love it and baby will cherish it I am sure!

Oh that looks so soft and pretty, you did a beautiful job on it! And i would never know there was a wrinkle behind that heart, very creative! :) :) :)

Very cute and looks really snuggly!!!!! Mom and baby will love it
|
Beautiful. Hopefully it will be loved to shreds.
|
Oh my gosh--it's just delicate!! Wrinkles make it more cozy--didn't you know they hold warmth?
What fun to have your babies close together! |
Very cute. I have heard that about fleece. Love the heart on the back.
|
So cute. The baby will love it!
|
It's beautiful! So cute!!!

What a precious quilt. Mom & baby are gonna love it :P

Your heat you have place over a tuck is called a Quilt Bandage... One of my friends taught me this a long time ago.
Great Job, I know it will keep that baby nice and Warm! Happy Birthday to you and Bless the new mama and baby too! |
It is adorable! Great job!
|
Thank you everyone :) I was lucky that the wrinkle was pretty much dead center so it didn't look too much like I was covering it up...lol.
Mom loves it and so does Dad. He said he thinks it will be her favorite blanket because it has her name on it. :) And I had some excess batting that I stuffed into the heart so it's something soft to hold onto :) Just as long as she doesn't look too close!! (yeah right, she's a kid of course she will!!) |
Your quilt is so cute, I love it, and what a good idea to applique over the wrinkle, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway, as its gorgeous and will be well loved :D
|
You certainly have made an already cherished blanket. If mom and dad love it so will she. Love the heart, noone needs to know there is a wrinkle. :D
|
I've never seen the heart thing I really like that. nice quilt.
|
I didn't know about any wrinkles--must have missed that post. It looks sweet to me.

So soft and cuddly looking and it's pink! My favorite color!! What a lucky baby girl.
|
What a creative way to hide you problem wrinkle. Doesn't show, and what a sweet addition to a very cute quilt. I'm sure it will become a favorite.
