baby quilt quilted
 

Here is one of the baby quilt tops done. I still have one more to do. I did bubbles(large pebbling) around the boarders. I wasn't happy with it, but as long as you don't get too close, you can't see how bad I did....lol. I used hobbs 80/20 batting on it.

We are all so critical of our own work. I think the bubbles are a wonderful addition of a different texture for the child to explore and enjoy. It really is such a happy quilt.

How bright and cheery is that quilt. Love the cute pattern on it. I can see a small child trying to pick up the trucks and tracks off it. Never thought of bubbles but then I don't use a quilting machine, do a lot of applique and then shadow around them a lot.

i like it; its cute! im busy with baby quilts too! since i started working on them with the chuch girls for the hospital babies seems like more and more people i know are getting pregnant! :)

It's funny how it works like that. People always seem to get pregnant in groups. Then you'll have a while before you see another pregnant person. lol. Right now, I only have my sister that will be trying soon. So that got me in the mood to make baby quilts.

I love the bubbles/pebbles. I had tried it and mine didn't come out nearly as well as yours did. I think the pebble look and feathers are 2 of the hardest quilting motifs to conquer.

It took me about 6 months of trying to do feathers to get them to a point that they were acceptable. I would draw them on scratch paper all the time to build up that mental memory for them. They are hard.
