OMG I love this!! have never seen a log cabin pattern adapted for a baby quilt with a center medallion before - was the appliqué a machine in the hoop or hand done? The blanket stitches just really finish this off so nicely!!

Thank YOU! The applique is hand sewn. I've had this orphan horse block for a number of years and thought it would be more meaningful as a little quilt rather than a loose block in a drawer. Even though I don't have a baby to give it to right now. I made the horse originally as a demo for a quilt show/class and never did have a plan for it. The rest of the quilt is just scraps.
