When someone writes after you do on these messages they always send you a message. Doesn't have to be a private one. I added my baby quilts and if anyone after taht writes they tell me I have a message even if they weren't writing to me. Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone, glad you like them. Just hope their mother's like them. I'm sure they won't complain. I already delivered the teddy bear quilt and she loved it so that was a good feeling.

Got work to do today on binding a quilt. I'm taking it with me to England on Tuesday so I can give it to a friend over there so I have to get busy.

This is how it works.....

1. If you post a comment on any topic the quiltingboard will automatically notify you by email that another message has been added to that particular topic.

2. To access directly to that message you just click on the link in the text of the email.

3. You can choose to enable or disable this automatic service. Scroll down to the bottom of the topic page and at the bottom left of the screen you will see - unwatch this topic enable/disable etc. click on it to set or unset this facility.

4. To send someone a private message you must click on their individual name, on the left of the message they posted. Or by going to the member listing at the top of the screen and search through..quicker to look through the recent posts. This opens up their personal profile page and you will see bottom left a pm button, click on that and it opens up for you to send a private message.

5. If you are on the quiltingboard just reading through a number of topics, If you notice a window pop up on the right of your monitor screen saying you have received an email from the quilting board, instead of going back to your email inbox everytime, just go up to the top of the page then click on recent topics and the topic at the top of the page more than likely is the one that has the next message contained in it. Also check your private messages - if you have a message it will tell you new (1) message so you can see straight away if it contains any new messages.

6. You can utilise the refresh button which is the green one up arrow/one down arrow on the toolbar this will show all new topics and messages which have been received since you last opened that page. I do this all the time!!

I hope I have explained it clearly enough, its much simpler than it sounds here, if I can help anymore just shout!! :D

Glad to hear how to access the messages etc. I usually get the "a new message in such and such forum" and then go to the bottom of the page and click on the forum list to see what everyone has posted else where.THAT's where the trouble starts! With the slower dial up I can be on for a couple of hours just checking on what everyone has to show off or comment! (course don't want to miss a thing!) Lot of nights with 12:30 bed times!

That's way too late for me. I've been napping a lot of t he day away today. I was really tired. I got up at 6:00 to deliver a quilt and meet the lady half way. When I called her she'd forgotten and it was raining so hard she didn't think she could get out without getting stuck in (THE BOG) what ever that is. She must live by a creek. My morning seemed to be wasted until I decided to hem a couple pairs of jeans for my trip. I'm getting so excited about going but not getting much done. Tomorrow is church and dinner then I'll be binding my friends quilt or will be doing it on the plane on Tuesday. Will probably be too dark though flying over that Atlantic Ocean at night.
