@ bjnicholson - My mother taught me that. So much easier, faster and looks just a good. Also, the "binding" does not come out. I have a quilt on my bed that gets washed at least 1-2 months and I have been using it for three years now. The binding is still in tack.

how did you do the quilting? it is very nice.. Is this the serpentine stitch? my janome 6600 doesn't have that stitch. someone will be really have with the quilt.

I'm getting ready to quilt a baby quilt and then will do the "fold over" binding using the backiing. I think it's just fine to do this. It seems to make the front and back flow together. |
