Baby Quilt top and back
2 Attachment(s)
I created this chevron-ish quilt for my brother and SIL who are expecting their first child. I thought this might coordinate without dating itself as much as chevrons. This is all pieced traditionally, no paper piecing. I'm going to quilt it with various block treatments of zoo animals and fill between them but am still working on the designs for it. Thanks for looking!

Please show it when you've quilted it. That sounds interesting

Very nice! Can't wait to see it quilted.

Love the modern look with the deep 3-D effect! Glad you got the triangle size issue worked out!

OH, that is so unique and creative! Love it, and I'm sure the parents and the baby will, too!
I'll bet you could sell the pattern, as well. |
Jeanne S, I went with my original triangle sizes since I'd already cut them, then I sewed the yellow on the other side of the triangle and cut it down to 5" instead of 5.5", so I could get the seam allowance on the point, making the finished height 4.5". It also nicely elongated the blocks, giving longer movement. It meant I had to add an extra row to get size but it worked out fine. Perks of making it up as you go, lol.
